The MTF MASTER IIT was specially developed to classify the quality of image intensifier tubes by the objective criteria of the MTF (Modulation Transfer Function).

 

An object (haircoss) is projected with defined resolution and intensity on the photocathode of the IIT. The image of this object on the IIT screen is evaluated by the help of a high resolution image processing system and an according software.

 

In order to guarantee the MTF measuring accuracy of IIT, it does have calibration function for analyzing group and self-calibration for light source illumination.

 

The measurement runs fully automatic and software controlled.

 

Optional additional measuring functions are SNR and EBI of the image intensifier tube.
